Chief Minister Kiran red faces Congress high command


January 30, 2014 - Hyderabad

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's action in moving 'reject bill' motion in the Assembly naturally red face the Congress High Command.

Kiran Kumar Reddy who admitted having made the Chief Minister with the courtesy of AICC president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday moved a resolution in against the party high command who prepares to form Telangana State by dividing Andhra Pradesh.

Kumar Reddy even dared the Centre to keep the Bill as it is in the Parliament. It may be recalled that the deadline set up by the President hours before expiring moved a resolution in the Assembly to return the bill alleging that it is full of defects and without any reason or aims.

Amid fear of trouble and even violence, the TRS leaders decided against creating ruckus following the advice of the Panchayat Raj Minister Jana Reddy not to be provoked at a closeted meeting held in the premises. Seemandhra MLAs cutting across party lines too decided to come to the rescue of the Speaker by forming a chain of protection. The entire process of reading two page statement was completed in less than two minutes that took surprise to TRS MLAs.
