‘Change the design of Polavaram Project’, says CPI (M) National Secretary Prakash Karat

Communist Party of India (M) National Secretary Prakash Karat speaking to media in Vijayawada on Friday emphasized the need to have discussions on water, power issues by the two governments.
Faulting the decisions of the Narendra Modi government in encouraging the corporate people, he said that Modi government has lost control over the rise in the prices. He said that the Government has put burden on the common man by increasing the rail fares and expects a rise in diesel and LPG prices. He said that reduction in taxes and duties in petro products could lessen the burden.
He said that the failure of the left parties in the elections is only due to black money. Karat said that the parties will strive hard to revive the past glory.
On Polavaram project, Prakash Karat said that he is totally against of the present design. He wanted a new design should replace the present one.
