TDP president Chandrababu Naidu to invite Prime Minister Modi for oath taking ceremony

Telugu Desam Party president and Chief Minister designate Nara Chandrababu Naidu is inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with a galaxy of leaders for the oath taking ceremony that is set to take place on June 8 at 7.30pm.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister designate is to take the oath of office on a grand scale and is planned in between Vijayawada-Guntur. The first signature according to sources is that on 'Loan waiver' that brought the TDP back to power after a decade. Naidu left to Delhi in a mission to invite the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and BJP president Rajnath Singh and Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal among other dignitaries. He is extending invitation to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States of Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Uses the platform for Central help

Naidu will be using the visit to Delhi to seek the Central help in financial, infrastructure and other sectors. He will also call on the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati and Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh in this direction. He will also meet the Chairman of the 14th Finance Commission, YV Reddy with proposals to overcome the financial crunch in the State.

Chandrababu Naidu would be urging the Centre to fully meet the deficit budget of nearly Rs.15,000 crore for this year and extend the same for at least next two years. He would be urging the Centre on the Special Status to extend for the State from five to 10-15 years. TDP sources said that he will pursue with the Centre the issue of special package for the development of North Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
