Chandrababu meets Trinamool Congress chief

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday called on Trinamool Congress chairperson and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Andhra Pradesh State division issue.

Responding to the journalists after the meeting, he said that 'we are opposed to the division of the State'. The Trinamool Congress leaders have been speaking against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and will also be opposing the Bill.

Chandrababu Naidu also discussed with Ms Banerjee the formation of a 'Federal Front' comprising non-BJP and non-Congress parties. He said that it was a positive meeting. On the partners of other parties, he said that 'discussions are on with different political parties on the formation of federal front'. The meeting of the two leaders came on a day when those of the Left parties and some other non-BJP and non-Congress met in New Delhi to discuss the formation of third front at the Centre.
