Chandrababu Naidu seeks Singapore help in building smart cities

AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu sought the Singapore’s expertise in building series of ports, petro-chemical corridor and smart cities in the newly formed Andhra Pradesh State.
Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs, K Shannmugam met the Chief Minister at his Lake View Guest House on Thursday and held discussions. Minister for Social Welfare R Kishore Babu too participated in the meeting. Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister said that the Andhra Pradesh Government was planning to develop four major ports- Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Krishnapatnam and Gangavaram and 16 medium to small ports. He said that big trans-shipment facilities were also being planned and the knowledge base of Singapore would be utilised for constructing of these ports.
R. Kishore Babu said Singapore was having one of the biggest petro-chemical complexes and its know-how has been sought for establishing petro-chemical corridor between Visakhapatnam – Chennai for which the Singapore Minister has positively agreed.
