Chandrababu Naidu announces Rs.1 lakh ex-gratia to heat wave victims

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs.1 lakh to the kin of those who died in the State due to heat wave conditions.
Naidu also announced an amount of Rs.50,000 under Apatbhandu scheme. He directed the deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murty to issue necessary orders.
The Deputy Chief Minister held a review meeting with the revenue officials and district collectors on Sunday over phone. The officials informed him that as many as 169 people lost their lives in the State. The maximum deaths reported from Viziangaram district with 45 followed by East Godavari district with 27 and Krishna district with 22 persons.
The district wise deaths reported are Srikakulam 14, Viziangaram 45, Visakhapatnam 9, East Godavari 27, West Godavari 8, Krishna district 22, Guntur 16, Prakasam 17, Nellore 4, Chitoor 3, Kurnool 1 and Anantapur 3.
