'Case will be registered against TV artiste Vijaya Rani', says DCP

CCS DCP Pala Raju said that a cheating case will be registered against Television artiste Battula Vijaya Rani.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that they have received a complaint alleging that she collected a sum of Rs.5 crores from 120 victims. He said that investigation is going on.

The accused Vijaya Rani was a native of Gudivada from Krishna district and in acting profession for Small Screen serials. She is residing in Ameerapeta New Sastry nagar. She is organizing chits for the last 12 years and it ranges in between Rs.5 lakhs to Rs.50 lakhs according to sources and nearly 400 members have been enrolled. Following of bouncing of cheques, she issued, the victims have been pressurizing her repayment of money.

Vijaya Rani is missing since Wednesday and the efforts of the Junior Artistes' association went in vain and that resulted in lodging a police complaint.
