CBSE gives approval for consolidated Intermediate marks for JEE mains

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has agreed with the request of the State Government that the combined marks of the first and second year of Intermediate for the purpose of calculating the rank.

Minister for Human Resources Development (HRD) Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the matter has been taken to the notice of the Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani following objections of the students that the second year marks being taken for the purpose of 40 per cent weightage given in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the CBSE has now asked the Board of Intermediate to send the combined scores to it. Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) Secretary Rama Sankar Naik said that he had received a letter from the CBSE and the Board has sent the list on Friday evening. He added that the data has already been uploaded on the CBSE website.
