Chandrababu Naidu warns of stern action
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has warned on Tuesday that his government will not allow anyone who take law into their own hands. He said that the government would not hesitate to take action anyone seeking to break law in a reference to the YSRCP MLAs behavior in the Assembly. He said that the behavior of the YSRCP MLAs reflects their mindset and political inexperience. He observed that their behavior mirrors the deterioration of quality leadership in the party.
State to get Rs.15,000 crore budget for agriculture
HYDERABAD: Minister for Agriculture P Pulla Rao said on Tuesday that the government is presenting its maiden agriculture budget on August 22 in the Assembly. It is planning to allocate Rs.15,000 crore to Rs.20,000 crore for agriculture. He said that the government has decided to present a separate agricultural budget exclusively and to send a message to the farmers that the government is giving top priority to agriculture.
Lakshmi Naidu remanded
SRIKAKULAM: One K Lakshmi Naidu who was arrested on Monday by the Palakonda police for cheating more than 100 women was produced in the Palakonda Magistrate court on Tuesday and was remanded to 15 days judicial custody. Police said that the accused was involved in two murder cases, eight rape cases and over 100 cases of cheating. Lawyers boycott courts

14,000 candidates runs for 500 posts
VISAKHAPATNAM: District Collector Dr N Yuvaraj said on Tuesday that the Indian Army will fill a total of 500 posts at the army recruitment rally that is being conducted at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium since Sunday for which nearly 14,000 candidates had participated. Nearly 50,000 candidates in all are expected to come by August 26, he added. He said that on August 17 and 18, recruitment was held for solider technical posts and recruitment for solider general duty posts will be conducted on August 19, 20 and 21 while recruitment for solider technical clerk posts will be held on August 22 and 23.
Collector asks farmers to meet bankers for loan waiver
VISAKHAPATNAM: District Collector Dr N Yuvaraj asked all the eligible farmers who had availed of crop loans to meet their bankers concerned immediately for waiver of the loans as was announced by the State Government. The beneficiaries have to meet the bankers with their ration card, Aadhaar card and pattadar passbook and Xerox copy of title deed of the land and also mobile phone number from where they have taken loans.
Police arrested five for dumping jobless
VISAKHAPATNAM: The police on Tuesday arrested five persons including of a film producer who duped the jobless youth to a tune of Rs.17 lakh. The arrested included a low budget film director and his team according to M Srinivasulu, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order). According to him, Indraganti Saidulu directed a movie ‘Cool Boys and Hot Girls’ in the past and others are Assistant Director Madagala Joginaidu, Indraganti Nagaraju, a cine producer, junior artiste Sandanagiri Anil of Karimanagar and Saripalli Appalaraju of S Rayavaram of Visakhapatnam.
