International Airport to come up at Atchutapuram
Minister Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu said that the Government is thinking of establishing an international airport at Atchutapuram in Visakhapatnam district. He said that a technical committee has visited the place and added that the Navy is raising objections not to establish an airport there. Alternatively, Bhimili is considering another option. The lands at Bhimili will be developed for film industry. The beach at Visakhapatnam will be developed on the lines the one at Goa.

’These are the last Assembly sessions in Hyderabad’, says Speaker
HYDERABAD: Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao said that probably, these are the AP last Assembly sessions in Hyderabad. ‘Already some offices of the State Government have been shifted to Vijayawada and some are on the go. The rest of the three year rule will be made from Vijayawada’, said Minister Pulla Rao.

Temple Trust Boards will be established in two weeks’, says Manikayala Rao
HYDERABAD: ‘The temple trust Boards will be established in two weeks, said Minister for Endowments Manikayala Rao. He said that the government has no idea of creating a specified trust board for TTD. He said that TTD Board will be established by September 2 and all the board will be established by next month end. The number of members in TTD will be enhanced to 18 from the present 15 members. Every trust board will have a two board members and one ex-officio member will be increased, he said.

Sivaramakrishnan Committee to submit report on August 27
HYDERABAD: Minister for Municipal Administration Narayana Said that the Sivaramakrishnan committee that was appointed to recommend a suitable place for establishing State Capital will be submitted its report on August 27. He said that Head of the departments will be established in Vijayawada and the rest of the government administration will function from there at. The advisory committee on the State Capital will visit four State Capitals in the country and the Sivaramakrishnan committee will only give its recommendations.

AP Assembly adjourned following unruly scenes
TDP after coming to power in the last three months have killed 11 party activists’, said YSRCP president and leader of the Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Assembly. Raising a question of what action did the government take on the murders and as many as 119 persons were injured. The agitated party MLAs raising slogans ‘we want justice’ has went into the Well forcing the Speaker to adjourn the sessions for fifteen minutes.

AP Assembly adjourned to Tuesday
The Speaker of the AP State Assembly Dr. Kodela Siva Prasada Rao has adjourned the Assembly to Tuesday following unruly scenes by the members of the Opposition who demanded a statement on law and order situation in the State. The speaker who adjourned the House initially for 15 minutes and when the House reassembled, when there is no change of the situation has forced him to adjourn to Tuesday.

KADAPA: Rajampeta MPP Suharlata who won on YSRCP ticket and later moved to TDP was slapped was disqualified following the invoking of Anti-defection law.

Collector Neetu Prasad adjudged as the Best District Poll Officer
KAKINADA: The Election Commission of India has announced that the Collector Neetu Prasad as the best District Election Officer for peacefully conducting the 2014 assembly and Parliament elections. ECI asked her to participate in a meeting scheduled to be held at Puducherry on August 22. The Collector will brief the meeting on the steps taken for the successful completion of the elections.

Jagan threats to sue TDP leaders for alleged defamation
HYDERABAD: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took a strong exception of the allegations of the TDP MLAs in the murder of former TDP MLA Paritala Ravindra said on Monday that he would file defamation case against them if they continue to link him in the murder.

Global Film festival on water from August 21
VISAKHAPATNAM: A three day international film festival on the present condition of water around the world will be jointly organized by the Vizag Film Society, the Bengaluru Film Society and the Environmental Film Society from August 21. Special train from Nanded to Jammu Tawi
HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway will run two special trains between Hazur Sahib Nanded and Jammu Tawi via Akola. Hazur Saheb Nanded-Jammu Tawi special train will depart from Hazur Sahib Nanded at 10.20pm on August 23 and arrive in Jammu Tawi at 2am on August 25. In return direction, the train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 04.00pm on August 25 and arrive at Hazur Sahib Nanded at 07.10 am on August 27.
