‘I will not resign for Chairman Post’, says Kanumuri Bapiraju
TIRUMALA: TTD Chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju said that he will not resign for the post on his own and will continue till new body is formed. Speaking to press on Friday, he said that he will abide by the decision of the State Government and admitted that he had requested Chandrababu Naidu to continue till the completion of the period. The statement comes at a time when news is in the air of his resignation.
Rs.1100 crores for Godavari Pushkarams
RAJAHMUNDRY: The Godavari Pushkarams that will begin in next year July will cost Rs.1100 crores according to Fiancen Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. After participating a meeting with the sub-committee appointed for the conduct of Godavari Pushkarams, he said that they have discussed the places of constructions of Ghats. He said that Rs.100 crores were spent on the earlier pushkarams. The meeting was attended by ministers Chinna Rajappa, P Narayana.
Murali Mohan will likely be the Chairman of TTD
Sources said that Rajahmundry MP Murali Mohan is likely to be next Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams. It may be recalled that many politicians are seeking for the TTD Chairman post. Sources said that his name will likely be announced in a couple of days. Meanwhile, Kanumuri Bapi Raju on Friday resigned for the TTD Chairman post. The efforts of Bapi Raju for continuation for the third time went in vain.
AP Health Minister submits report to Chief Minister
HYDERABAD: Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas on Friday submitted a report on the progress of medical and health. Speaking to press, he said that 950 new MBBS seats were granted to the State with the Centre’s assistance. 180 acres of land has been inspected for establishing AIIMS at Guntur. Kamineni Srinivas said that Cancer units will be established at Guntur and Visakhapatnam and suggested to take steps at hospitals in government hospitals in nine districts. The health minister said that corporate level services would be brought in government hospitals with PPP.

Jagan Mohan Reddy reviews development works
NELLORE: KADAPA: YSRCP chief and Pulivendula MLA YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday reviewed the development works in his constituency with the officials of various departments. In a review meeting with the officials, he said that he had received complaints about the supply of contaminated water from people and showed a bottle of muddy water and asked why they are not taking any steps to stop supply of contaminated water. On irrigation, he asked them to ensure irrigation water to farmers from Chitravathi and Pulivendula branch canals.

NEW DELHI: The CBI that is currently probing the Rs.1.86 lakh crore coal scam on Friday registered a fresh FIR on Friday against a Nagpur-based company and its director for allegedly misrepresenting facts to secure a captive coal block. A case of cheating and conspiracy has been registered against Gondwana Ispat Limited and its then director Ashok Daga. In the Majra Coal block allocation.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and four others granted bail
NEW DELHI: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and four others were granted bail by a Delhi court in connection with a case relating to Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) agitation near North block here in January this year. Kejriwal and AAP leaders Manish Sisodia, Rakhi Birla, Somnath Bharti and Ashutosh appeared before Metropolitan Magistrate Akash Jain in pursuance to the summons issued against them. The court granted them bail on a personal bond of Rs 5,000 each and fixed the matter for further hearing on October 28.
