Astrophysicist Jayant Vishnu Narlikar presented with Dr. Y Nayudamma Memorial Award

Former Union Home Secretary K Padmanabhaiah has presented Dr.Y.Nayudamma Memorial Award to Prof.Jayant Vishnu Narlikar at function held at Tenali on Saturday.
Dr Narlikar speaking at the function has given in-depth speech on the outer atmosphere and an intriguing possibility of extra-terrestrial life beyond the plant. He said in the speech that the bacteria – Janibactar Hoyleis, Bacillus Aryabhatai and Bacillus Ironies - have been discoursed after years of collaborative research by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology and NCCs, Pune. He said that ISRO has released a balloon form Hyderabad in 2005 to detect the existence of 'bacteria showers' and it had detected 12 bacterial colonies and six fungal colonies operating into extra-terrestrial life outside Earth, said Prof. Narlikar.
Chairman of Y Nayudamma Memorial Trust, Ratheish Nayudamma, founder and managing trustee P Vishnu Murty and trustees R Sampath, K Balaharnath Murty and R Srinivsa Rao were present on the occasion.
