Ashok Babu registers landslide victory in the APNGOs Association election

APNGOs association president P Ashok Babu became the president of the APNGOs association once again. He will be in the office for a term of three years. He registered landslide victory to the association's office bearers held on Sunday.
Out of 835 votes polled, Ashok Babu got 630 while his rival Basheer got only 174 votes.
Ashok Babu's panel pitted against Basheer and the polling that commended at 9am ended at 3pm. The elections assumed significance following the charges against Ashok Babu that he was adopting unilateral attitude and had worked for dilution of the Seemandhra movement. Amid celebrations and bursting of crackers at the APNGOs Home in Hyderabad on Sunday said Ashok Babu that 'the results of the elections are the answer to the charges made by detractors', he said.
Protest would be organized
Ashok Babu said that protests would be organized near the State Assembly against the division of the State from January 16 to 23 and this would be preceded by a meeting of all employees' unions in a day or two to tune the agitation.
