Arrangements complete for second phase of polling in Andhra Pradesh

State Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal speaking media on Saturday said that all arrangements were made for the second phase of polling in the State. Seemandhra and Rayalaseema reigons will go to polling on May 7 for 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats.

Bhanwar Lal said that as many as 1,26,000 electronic voting machines are made available in more than 40,000 polling stations across the regions. He said 3.67 crore voters will exercise their franchise.

Central forces have been deployed to tackle and eventuality. Naxal affected polling stations in Araku and Paderu, the elections will be held from 7 am to 4pm., while Kurupam, Parvathipuram, Salur, Rampachodavaram, Pedakurapadu, Vinukonda, Gurajala, Macharla, the polling will be held from 7am to 5pm. He said four helicopters are being pressed into service for polling.
