    HYDERABAD: TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, Akali Dal leader and NDA co-convenor Naresh Gujral, BJP treasurer Piyush Goyal while addressing the press conference said that Naidu played a vital role in the national politics and the pacts are necessary for the BJP to reach 272 mark.
  • CPI (M) releases third list for Telangana seats
    HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Committee of CPI(M) on Sunday released the third list of candidates contesting fore 21 Assembly constituencies.
  • APNGO's Association leaders meet Jagan
    HYDERABAD: A delegation of APNGO's association leaders led by its president P Ashok Babu and general secretary Chandrasekhara Reddy met YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday. They wanted to know the stand of YSRCP on the threats of some political parties on 'no options to Seemandhra employees. Jagan assured them that the YSRCP will act as was done by his father late Rajasekhara Reddy government did towards employees.
  • YSRCP to contest in 35 to 40 seats in Telangana
    HYDERABAD: YSRCP sources said that the party will field candidates in 35 to 40 assembly seats in Telangana where the party has considerable cadre. It is planned to field its candidates in Khammam, Nalgonda, GHMC, Medak, Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar constitutes among others.

  • Re-poll will be held in three places, says Ramakanth Reddy
    HYDERABAD: Elections in the first phase of polling for 557 ZPTC and 8250 MPTC went on peacefully. State Election Commissioner P Ramakanth Reddy said that re-polling is required in three places one in Anantapur, four in Nellore and one in Medak. He said that re-poll will be conducted on April 11.
  • Medak MLA Mynampalli Hanmanthrao resigns
    MEDAK: In protest against the style of functioning of TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Medak MLA Mynampalli Hanmantha Rao quits party. He said that the party president had promised Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat to him some four years back and now had gone to BJP as part of alliance. He announced that he will be contesting as an Independent.
  • First phase of ZPTC and MPTC polling went off
    HYDEDABAD: The first phase of polling for ZPTC and MPTC across the State went off peacefully. State Election Commissioner Ramakanth Reddy said that 67 per cent polling was recorded throughout the State while 80 per cent polling was recorded in some districts.

    NEW DELHI: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee present Ponnala Lakshmiah said that the people will not believe the TRS manifesto. He said that the credit of bringing ITIR to Hyderabad goes to Congress. He said Congress will announce its Telangana Congress manifesto in a couple of days.
  • TDP to organize Praja Garjana on Monday at Kadapa
    KADAPA: TDP will organize Praja Garjana at Kadapa on Monday. The party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu will arrive from Hyderabad to Renigunta by flight and will proceed to Kadapa via Rayachoti on road. He will participate in the meet at Municipal Stadium in the evening.

    HYDERABAD: Nara Lokesh son of TDP chief Naidu will begin his election campaign from April 12 from Krishna district. He will conduct the campaign in both Telangana and Seemandhra.
  • Titanium accused should be brought to book', demands AAP
    HYDERABAD: Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday demanded the arrest of the accused in Titanium scam. AAP convener Ramakrishnam Raju demanding their arrest wanted the government to keep them in jails for their rest of life. Raju wanted the government to extend the required help to the American investigating agencies.
    Rajahmundry: Congress Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao who arrived at Rajahmundry speaking to press wanted the Centre to investigate in the alleged scam.
    Tirupati: TDP senior leader Gali Mudduma Krishnam Naidu alleged the role of AICC president Sonia Gandhi in the scam. He alleged the role of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his family in the entire episode along with KVP Ramachandra Rao. He said that our leaders got Rs.111 crore in the scam as their share. He alleged that Sonia too had her share in the scam.
  • Mala Mahanadu to contest in 48 Assembly segments
    RAJAHMUNDRY: Mama Mahanadu will filed it's candidates in 48 assembly seats in the coming elections. Party national president Karem Sivaji while announcing said that they are going forward with the slogan of 'self-respect of SCs and vote for it'. He said that they will be filed their candidates in all reserved constituencies and along those places where their dominance are more. He said that with there is no use with the newly born Jai Samikhayndhra Party at this juncture, he said.
  • Voting to those four parties means acceptance of division', says JSP chief.
    ONGOLE: By casting vote to Congress, BJP, TDP and YSRCP means accepting the division of the State, said Jai Samikhayndhra Party president N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Addressing a road show, he said the he floated the party for the self-respect of Telugu people and to keep the State united. He charged the TDP chief Naidu for his statement in Warangal that Telangana was formed only because of TDP and questioned him whether he would say the same here, he questioned.

    HYDRABAD: PCC chief spokesperson Rudraraju Padmaraju in a press meet on Saturday alleged that floating of Jana Sena Party by Pawan Kalyan is a part of the conspiracy of Telugu Desam Party. Speaking at Indira Bhavan, he said TDP made an attempt in this direction and alleged change of hands of lots of money.
  • JEE mains on Sunday
    JEE mains will be conducted across the nation on Sunday. Nearly 13,56,805 candidates throughout the country and 1,22,863 candidates from the State are taking up the examinations. The test will be held in Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Tirupati and Guntur and the test will be held in 150 centres both in India and abroad.
  • 190 nominations filed in Telangana
    HYDERABAD: As many as 190 nominations were filed on Saturday along in Telangana region. Out of this 168 nominations for Assembly while the rest for Lok Sabha.
  • MIM announces send list
    HYDERABAD: MIM on Saturday released the second list of its candidates. Mohammed Ali – Anantapur, Haji Shoukhat Ali – Hindupur, CM Illiyas – Kadiri, Mohammed Ali Pasha – Rayachoti, Y Mahboob Basha – Guntakal, PV Narayana Reddy – Nandyal Parliament Seat , Sridhar Dharani – Malkajgiri Parliament Seat, Motilal from Bhongir Lok Sabha. The party has so far named 14 candidates for Assembly and four for Parliament.
  • The first phase of ZPTC and MPTC elections began at 7 am today. Polling for 557 ZPTC seats and 8250 MPTC seats will be held today across the state. As many as 4 lakh voters are likely to exercise their vote today.
  • APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy told media that the first list of candidates for Seemandhra Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced on April 7 or 8. The party is also likely to release the manifesto for 2014 elections on the same day.
