Anuhya murder case - High Court asks police for action

The Mumbai High Court on Tuesday dealing with a petition filed alleging violation of law by police in the investigation of Anuhya murder case directed the police to file a reply.
The petitioner Abha Singh sought a direction from the Court to fix accountability so that guilty police officers must be punished. He alleged that the police have violated the Mumbai Police Manual during the investigation of the case. He said that if this is not fixed, cases of this nature will happen, he said in the petition. He said that the police failed to act on the missing complaint though they were approached on the very first day, he said.
It may be recalled here that the Mumbai police have claimed of having zero the TCS techie Easter Anuhya murder case. The father of the victim expressed doubts over the crackdown of the case.
