Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet to ratify Chief Ministers' decisions

The first Cabinet meeting of Andhra Pradesh State is being held at Executive Council Hall of Andhra University on Thursday.
It may be recalled here that the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly before Andhra Pradesh was formed by merging the then Hyderabad State with it was held at the TLN Sabha Hall on the AU campus in June 1954 when Tanguturi Prakasam was the Chief Minister. The new Andhra Pradesh State after bifurcated is again holding the first meeting under Nara Chandrababu Naidu on June 12, 2014.
Decisions will be ratified:
The decisions of the Chief Minister Naidu that were announced on the dais on June 8 at Guntur while taking oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on loan waiver, enhancement of retirement age, pensions and others will be ratified in the Cabinet committee meeting. It may be recalled that Chandrababu Naidu announced constitution of a committee to study the modalities for waving loans taken by farmers, weavers and DWCRA women and sought a report within 15 days. The government would finalize the scheme within a month.
Cabinet has also to ratify the decision of enhancing the retirement age of the State Government employees from the present 58 years to 60 And the enhancing of pension amount for widows to Rs.1,000 a month and Rs.1,500 for disabled. The other decisions including abolition of belt shops and NTR Srujala Sravanthi Scheme under which 20 litres of mineral water would be provided in villages at Rs.2. The cabinet will also discuss the ordinance on Polavaram project is likely to come up for discussion.
