Andhra Pradesh Governor addresses the Assembly

10 Congress MLCs to join TDP

HYDERABAD: TDP MP C.M. Ramesh speaking to media on Saturday said that as many as ten MLCs from Congress are joining the TDP. The probable members are Chaitanya Raju, Ravi Varma, Sheik Hussain, Pullaiah, Srinivasulu Naidu, Reddappa Reddy, Indira, Ilapuram Venkaiah along with YSRCP.

Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan on Saturday addressed the Assembly. During his speech, he listed out the tasks before the newly formed Government and its actions.

Governor Narasimhan said that the State Government will ask the Central Government to accord special status to the State for 15 years. He said that the undemocratic and unscientific bifurcation has left a scar on Telugu people and added that the development was hindered duly to large scale corruption. He said that all the promises it had given to the people will be honoured and added that incentives would be given to those who start new industries in the State. The government has not taken any decision on the new State capital. The Government would create IT investments region in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati and develop sever cyber cities in the State.

Narasimhan said that Rs.30,000 will be deposited in the name of a new girl child born and will offer free education from LKG to PG. He said that the government would request the Centre to revive the Tungabhadra Board. 20 litres of water will be provided to every house hold under NTR Sujala Sravanthi programme and would make efforts for interrupted power supply to all the households along with industries in the State.

YSRCP express resentment

YSRCP MLAs Jyotshyala Nehru, Srikanth Reddy, K Sridhar Reddy, Smt.Roja expressed deep resentment over the Governor's speech. They said that the speech has delivered deep dis-satisfaction to the people. They termed the speech as condolence speech when the State was divided.
