Algeria flight AH 5017 missing

An Algeria national airline, Air Algerie flight was reportedly missing with an hour from its take off. Sources said that there are 110 passengers and six crew members in the flight.
The flight that is flying towards Burkina Faso lost contacts with ground staff immediately after an hour from Uagadougou. The flight last seen at 0155 bound for the Algerian capital Algiers.

Flight AH 5017 flies the Ouagadougou-Algiers route four times a week.
It may be recalled that a Trans Asia Airlines flight in an emergency landing in Taiwan killed 51 persons and injured seven. Sources said that flight carrying 58 persons along with the crew on Wednesday. The flight was heading from Taipei to the island Penghu.
Reports say that the flight crashed into the Niger. Spanish private airline company Swiftair confirmed it had no contact with its MD-83 aircraft operated by Air Algerie carrying 110 passengers to Algiers. The company said in a notice posted on its website that the aircraft took off from Burkina Faso at 0117 GMT and was supposed to land in Algiers at 0510 GMT but never reached its destination. An Algerian aviation official said the last contact Algerian authorities had with a missing Air Algerie aircraft carrying 116 people from Burkina Faso to Algiers was at 0155 GMT when it was flying over Gao, Mali.
