Tollywood star Akkineni Nagarjuna meets Modi, says no hidden agenda

Nagarjuna is the second actor from the Telugu film industry that met Narendra Modi in the recent past. It is known that Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has met Modi earlier and offered solidarity to the party. In an half-an–hour long meeting with Modi, Nagarjuna said that the country would benefit if he becomes Prime Minister and expressed confidence that he would strive hard to develop both Telangana and Seemandhra.
Denies having agenda
Speaking to presspersons after the meeting, the actor denied the meeting with Modi having any hidden agenda and brushed aside of the news of joining into politics. He said that he was impressed with the development taken up in Gujarat. Earlier to the meeting, Nagarjuna visited a model village Punsari where he witnessed the development work took place. He reportedly told to Modi that he would replicate the model in his native village of Ramapuram in Krishna district and fulful his father's dream. He was briefed by the village sarpanch on the development to the actor. The village has a population of 6,000 and is equipped with Wi-Fi, charged at a nominal Rs.10 per month. Round the clock power supply, refrigerated as well as normal drinking water through pipelines are other amenities at the village. It has cement concrete roads, five schools, a primary health center and a public address system with speakers for the sarpanch to address people. Modi offered him necessary technical help to Nagarjuna in making his native a model one.
