Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launches PMJDY

The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday while launching the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) in Rajahmundry along with the Chairman of Andhra Bank and State Level Banker’s Committee Chairman CVR Rajendran said that all welfare schemes would be linked to the bank accounts to be opened under the scheme. It would provide for overdraft facility of up to Rs.5,000 after six months of the accounts becoming operational.
Chandrababu Naidu said that all pensions, scholarships, fee reimbursements and other benefits would be linked to bank accounts through Aadhar seeding and reminded that where there are less cash transactions, there would be less corruption .He said that the Government already announced water and power grids, Gas and road grids are the third and fourth.
The Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Anant Geete launched the programme. He said that the scheme was aimed at taking the benefits enjoyed by organized sector to the unorganized sector.
