January 11, 2014 - Hyderabad
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General AK Khan on Thursday moved to the AP High Court seeking permission to transfer officers working in Special Investigation Team (SIT) who are probing liquor syndicates.
The permission of the court necessitated in the back drop of the court direction on April 16, 2012 that no officers should be transferred without its permission.
ACB told to the court that the probe into the case been completed and charge sheets have been filed against the erring officials. The DG requested the court to permit the officers who were on deputation have been completed more than three years term and have to be repatriated.
A vacation bench comprising Justice L Narasimha Reddy and Justice Challa Kodandaram felt it would be appropriate that the bench which had granted the earlier interim direction take a decision on the present application. Accordingly, the bench directed the registry to post the case before the bench concerned immediately after the vacation.
