AAP releases first list of its candidates for Elections in Seemandhra and Telangana


April 4, 2014 - Hyderabad

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will go to Assembly elections with candidate from auto drivers to IT professionals including housewives.

The AAP on Friday released its first list of 60 candidates who would be contesting from various Assembly segments in Seemandhra and Telangana. Karanam Ambika Krishna (26) is the youngest in the list to contest from Sanathnagar constituency in Hyderabad. A visually challenged Chandra Surpiya will contest from the Malkajgiri constituency. Two auto drivers Sridhar and Venkatesh Goud are in the fray while a techie, Matta Suresh Kumar from Serilingampally while another IT professional A Shasi Kumar Reddy will contest from Jangaon constituency.

South India Coordinator of the party V Purushotham said that the candidates have been chosen after a thorough scrutiny. He said that the party have selected them based on their good character and also for their conviction towards serving the society.
