AAP in collision course with LSP
March 21, 2014 - Hyderabad
The Aam Aadmi Party and Lok Satta Party are on a collision course with the former deciding to field or support a candidate against Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan. The decision came following the Lok Satta Party released on Thursday that it will remove all restrictions in the usage all restrictions in the usage of Genetically Modified crops along with BT cotton crops for the benefit of the farmers. It also voiced support to Foreign Direct Investment in Retail in its Manifesto.
It may be recalled that the AAP members are vehemently against these policies form the beginning as they feel that GM crops are a threat to local diversity and pose health hazards for consumers.
However, it may be recalled that these two parties shared the same platform in fighting clean politics and alternative governance is concerned.
