'450 new medical seats added during the academic year', says Health Minister

HYDERABAD: Minister for Medical and Health, Kamineni Srinivas said that another 450 medical seats have been added in the current academic year. He said that 150 seats were allotted to Tirupati SVIMs and the rest of 300 for private medical colleges.
On the 350 medical seats that were scrapped by Medical Council of India, the Minister said that efforts are on to bring back them. He said that they would request the MCI to conduct verification once again. On the fee structure in medical education, a decision will come out in the evening.
