Suspected Bodo militants kidnap Andhra Pradesh engineer

Suspected Bodo militants from Maibang in Dima Hasao district of Assam on Tuesday last have kidnapped one Dandamuri Nagamalleswara Rao, an engineer working for Vasistha Constructions Pvt.Ltd., a Hyderabad based construction firm.
Nagamalleswara Rao, an engineer hails from Ongole working with Vasistha Constructions Private limited was abducted form the site at N.C.Hills in Maibang. He hails from Kummanenivanipalem from Cheemakurti mandal in Prakasam district. He has a son and a daughter while his wife passed away in January.
The family members of Nagamalleswara Rao who were informed of the incident on Saturday requested the State Government for his safety release. They called on the District Collector in-charge KY Naik and Superintendent of Police P Jashua who have given assurance for his safe release through the State Government.
Demands Rs.6 crore:
Even as the abductors demanded Rs. Six crore as ransom, the manager of the company is making all out efforts for the release of the engineer. The Government Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao spoke to his counterpart and Director General of Police for the safe release of the abducted engineer. The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to take immediate steps in this direction.
