Vijay Sai Reddy appeals for bail
October 4, 2013 - Hyderabad
The second accused in the disproportionate assets case of YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, the financial advisor V Vijay Sai Reddy appealed for bail. He sought bail on the grounds that there has been no instance of his tampering with evidence and as the investigation into all aspects of the case is complete. His senior counsel, Sushil Kumar said the conduct of his client during the regular and interim bail granted by the court in the past, is testimony to his good behavior and there was no evidence of influencing witnesses. He said that there was no complaint from the CBI about his client hampering the course of inquiry was ample proof of his conduct. The counsel argued that keeping his client in judicial custody even after the completion of investigation would not only violate his right to freedom but also deny him an opportunity to face the trial in the case without prejudice.
