Traders call for bandh in all Seemandhra region in support of ongoing agitation

In support of the ongoing agitation for keeping the State united, the traders in all the 13 districts in Seemandhra region has given a call for bandh.
The decision was taken by Samaikyandhra Parirakshana Vartaka Vanijya JAC, said the general secretary V Bhaskara Rao a press meet on Wednesday. He said that 72 traders association in Krishna District registered under the VCCI and all of them have agreed to support the bandh. He said that bifurcation would spell doom for the trading community and apart from Hyderabad being the manufacturing hub, all the corporate offices and export and import registered offices are located there. He said that Hyderabad region was developed with the sweat and blood and just cannot give it away on a platter to Telangana. He said that the annual earnings of the State from commercial taxes was nearly Rs.47,000 crore of which coastal region contributed to Rs.13,000 crore while Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy region Rs.27,000 core and Telangana region Rs.7,000 crore. Of the Rs.27,000 crore of Hyderabad over 80 per cent is contributed by traders from Andhra region, he said.
