'TDP will support Lokpal Bill', says its chief Chandrababu Naidu

December 15, 2013 - Hyderabad

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that it will support the Lokpal Bill in Parliament though it needs some improvements.

He said that 'something should come up for debate, otherwise time will be wasted. Corruption is the major problem in the society today and the TDP is committed to working forwards achieving a corruption-free society', said Chandrababu Naidu. He said that black money worth over Rs5 lakh core was moved out of the country through hawala route in 2011 alone and added that the RBI has estimated such wealth at Rs.75 lakh crore. He said that the Congress government had failed to mobilize necessary support as it lacked sincerity on the bill, said Naidu.
