Suman Rathod granted bail in land grab case

Khanapur MLA Suman Rathod was granted a conditional bail on Saturday. She was one of the accused in the KPHB land grabbing case. While approving the bail petition, Judge V Satyanarayana asked her to produce a personal surety of Rs. 25,000 and directed her not to leave Hyderabad. She was asked to appear before the Miyapur police station every day for the next twenty days and once in a week before the court.

Suman Rathod was likely to be released on Sunday as there was a delay in sending the bail orders to the Chanchalguda prison.

The KPHB police had booked a criminal case against Suman Rathod in a land grabbing case. She surrendered herself before the Miyapur court on 11th after which she was sent to Chanchalguda prison for women. The police were granted custody of one day for questioning. Suman Rathod was questioned in the presence of her lawyers from 10 am to 5 pm.

Her husband and MP Ramesh Rathod alleged a political conspiracy behind the case.
