Seemandhra employees stage dharna in front of Digvijay Singh's residence

The Secretariat Seemandhra Employees along with other association on Wednesday went to represent their grievances before the Anthony Committee but met Digvijay Singh at his residence when the Committee meeting was cancelled. Deeply upset over the response by Digvijay Singh, they staged a dharna in front of his residence.
AICC general secretary and in charge of the State Affairs Digvijay Singh told them that a firm decision on bifurcation of the State was taken and advised them to focus on service-related issues. In a 14 page representation, they detailed the complex issues of resources sharing, access to education, employment facilities and the insecurity of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad posit division. They sought him to keep the State united in here interest of all. Not satisfied with the response over their concerns, they staged a brief dharna and raised slogans seeking justice outside the residence.
Meets Advani and Sushma Swaraj
The employees' association leaders met BJP leaders LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi on Wednesday and reiterated that they were for Small Sates but they assured that they would ensure that no injustice would be meted out to Seemandhra people. Advani assured them that the process would not be taken further unless all the concerns are addressed.
'Save Andhra Pradesh' meeting on 7th
The APNGOs president P Ashok Babu said that they would meet the MPs and Union Ministers and request them to resign for their posts for the cause of samikhyandhra and request them to attend the Save Andhra Pradesh meeting in Hyderabad on September 7. He said that if the government did not give permission, they would take legal recourse, he said.
