Pallam Raju says Centre not inclined towards Telangana state

Union Minister for Human Resources Development and Kakinada MP MM Pallam Raju has made light of the recent political buzz in the State that the Centre is inclining towards the formation of a separate Telangana state to resolve the issue.

In a brief chat with reporters at the Gannavaram airport, Pallam Raju said that he would apprise the Congress central leadership of all the issues concerned in resolving the Telangana issue. He said he wants the state to remain united, but added that he would abide by the decision on the high command.

He said that the people of the state would be represented by 42 MPs in the Parliament if the state is united. The centre is taking into consideration the suggestions from the leaders of all the regions in the State, he added.
