  • Marri Sasidhar Reddy met Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Sasidhar Reddy said that he has asked the home minister to increase the number of assembly constituencies to 150 after the formation of Telangana state. Increase in number of constituencies will ensure political stability, he said.
  • The State Government has announced that the Rachabanda programme will continue will November 30. The decision to extend the programme was taken as the recent cyclone has interrupted the programme at few locations.
  • Left party workers and activists protested at Rachabanda event in Kadapa. To bring the situation under control, the police resorted to lathi charge. Few women protesters lost consciousness in the scuffle.
  • Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu will tour in West Godavari and Krishna districts today to assess the damage caused to crops due to the recent Cyclone Phailin. He will console the farmers who lost their crops due to the Cyclone. He will reach Krishna district at 3:30 pm. Earlier today, Chandrababu worshiped at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple in Antarvedi.
  • Union Minister Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy has met Home Minister Sushil Kumar Reddy today. He has submitted 1700 resolutions from gramsabhas in support of Rayala Telangana state.
  • BJP leaders from the State M Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, G Kishan Reddy will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today. The leaders will urge the Prime Minister to come to the aid of farmers who were affected by the recent Cyclone.
  • Yellow warning level has been issued for the Lehar cyclone. It is expected to cross the Kakinada coast on November 28.
  • GoM on Telangana member and union minister Jairam Ramesh will meet union ministers from Seemandhra tomorrow at 10 am.
  • Ministers from Telangana region will meet Governor ESL Narasimhan today.
  • YSR Congress Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy will tour in East Godavari district today to console the farmers who lost their crops due to the recent Cyclone.
  • Ram Manohar Naidu, son of former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao appeared before the Lokayukta in connection with Kannedhara granite lease issue.
  • RTA officials have seized 19 buses which belonged to private travel services on NH 45 for operating in violation of RTA rules.
  • TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will leave to Delhi on December 3 to attend winter session of the Parliament. He is likely to be joined by party leaders K Keshava Rao, MPs G Vivek, Manda Jagannatham, former MPs Jeetender Reddy and B Vinod Kumar.
