- Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India Justice Altamas Kabir has reached Hyderabad. He will inaugurate a building at the premises of the civil court in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Supreme Court Judges, High Court Chief Justice PV Ghosh and others will participate.
- A GENCO employee died after accidentally drowning in the Sileru river. Meka Srinivas who was working at GENCO died after accidentally slipping into the river. The locals attempted a search and rescue and could only recover the body. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
- Three compartments of the Janmabhoomi express from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam derailed when the train was coming to the station from the rail yard. A major disaster was averted as there were no passengers in the train at the time of the incident. The railway authorities have conducted the repair works and the train started an hour late.
