- The auspicious day of 'Maha Sivaratri' is celebrated in all Lord Siva temples in the State. A large number of devotees are witnessed at temples and special prayers are being held. The State Police has deployed heavy security at select temples following the recent twin blasts at Dilsukhnagar.
- Special prayers are being held at the Thousand Pillar temple in Hanumakonda in Warangal and the Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Komaravelli. Devotees were in a bee line at the Srisailam temple in Kurnool district since 2 in the night.
- Mahakumbabishekam is organized at the RK Beach Road in Visakhapatnam with 1 crore and 8 lakh lingas.
- A walk has been organized by the LV Prasad Eye Hospital in Hyderabad to observe the World Glacoma Awareness day. The walk was inaugurated by veteran film actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
- 50 kg of Ganja was seized from five while they are transporting the same in an autorickshaw at Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam. The culprits were arrested and shifted to the police station.
