MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, who is wanted for questioning by the police over the alleged hate speech has arrived in Hyderabad today. He arrived in the Qatar airlines flight at the Shamshabad Airport from London early in the morning. The Hyderabad police has deployed a large number of police personnel at the airport to prevent any untoward situation. The MLA was facing heat from almost all the political parties for his alleged "hate speech". Akbaruddin was received by a large number of MIM supporters who took out a rally from the airport to the MLA's residence in Jubilee Hills.

Seeks 4 days time

Akbaruddin has met with the party senior leaders and supporters at his residence. His lawyers Mohd. Ismail and Sattar Khan who came to the Nirmal police station have sought four days time for Akbaruddin to appear before the police for questioning. They reportedly told the police that Akbaruddin could not appear for questioning today due to health reasons. The MLA was earlier summoned by the police to appear at the Nirmal police station by 10:30 am today. The police has invoked 144 section in effect in Nirmal.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party has called for a bandh in Nirmal. The party has condemned the hate speech and demanded the immediate arrest of Akbaruddin. The party workers are staging several protests at Nirmal.
