AP Junior Doctors calls for Strike back to duties from Monday
August 18, 2013 - Hyderabad
Junior doctors in the State have been on an indefinite strike from July 20 demanding the withdrawal of GO No.93 that allows private hospitals to collect extra fee from students to pay their stipend for the next academic year. Nearly 16,000 medicos have been abstaining in government teaching hospitals attached to 14 medical colleges in the State.
Dealing with a PIL, AP High Court on Friday directing the striking doctors to call off the strike to create atmosphere for an adjudication saying that strike is for workmen and not for doctors, the APJDA has called off the indefinite strike and will join for duties from Monday onwards.
