- The Nalgonda police has asked YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila Reddy to leave the district in view of the election code being in force on account of the MLC elections. Sharmila is currently on the 'Praja Prasthanam' padayatra in Nalgonda. The MLC elections in the district would be held on February 21 and the election code will be in effect from 19th onwards.
- Backward classes welfare minister Baswaraju Saraiah inspected the crops in Adilabad district which were destroyed due to the recent floods. MLC Prem Sagar Rao accompanied the minister. The Minister has promised compensation to the victims.
- The DCCB elections in Kadapa have begun early in the morning.
