TDP chief Chandrababu wants clarification from AICC general secretary
October 3, 2013 - Hyderabad
The TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday wanted the AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh to make public the details of his meeting with the CBI Director Ranjit Sinha.
Speaking at a press conference, Chandrababu Naidu raised doubts whether the Congress was trying to misuse the CBI to fix more political rivals as Digvijay Singh was neither a complainant nor witness in any case but preferred to call the Director to his residence for a discussion.
He said that those who were caught red-handed were being spared while cases were being foisted against political rivals. The actions of the CBI have become suspect as seen recently in the case of Jagan Mohan Reddy when it announced completion of investigation and filed a memo that contradicted its own charge-sheet filed earlier.
