Chandrababu enters Krishna district as part of his Vastunna Mee Kosam yatra

Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu has entered Krishna district today as part of his 'Vastunna Mee Kosam' padayatra. He was given a grand welcome by the party leaders and workers at the Garikapadu checkpost.
Meanwhile, Pedana MLA Jogi Ramesh was taken into custody by the police. Ramesh along with his followers attempted to prevent Chandrababu Naidu from entering the Krishna district. He was arrested when his group of followers clashed with those of the Telugu Desam Party. Ramesh was later shifted to the Kanchicherla police station.
Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal is also taken into custody by the police when he embarked on a 'Kanuvippu' yatra. According to the MP, the yatra is aimed to educate TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on the advantages in keeping the State united. Lagadapati Rajagopal is a known supporter to keep the State united and has opposed the Telugu Desam Party's stand favoring a separate Telangana state. A number of policemen were deployed at a house where he is residing in Anumanchipalli in the morning. Fearing arrest, Lagadapati locked himself inside the house and did not come out till afternoon. He was eventually arrested when he came out in the afternoon.
Devineni Nehru was also arrested in the morning when he came to meet Lagadapati Rajagopal in solidarity with the Kanuvippu yatra.
Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam Party leaders have criticized the Congress tactics to stall Chandrababu's yatra. TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu criticized the attempts of Lagadapati Rajagopal saying that the Kanuvippu yatra was on the direction of the Congress party.
Rajya Sabha MP and TDP leader Nandamuri Harikrishna expressed happiness oN Chandrababu Naidu reaching Krishna district. He said that the yatra will be a success despite the attempts of the Congress party to prevent it.
