CBI court grants 45 day bail to former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana

The CBI court who heard the arguments on the bail petition filed by Mopidevi Venkata Ramana health grounds on Friday on Monday granted bail to him for 45 days.
The court while granting bail directed him to execute a bond of Rs. 1 lakh with two sureties of like amount and to surrender his passport and to do not leave the city and not interfere with the ongoing investigation by the CBI.
It may be recalled here that the former Minister of Infrastructure and Investments of YSR regime was arrested by the CBI in the alleged quid-pro-quo investments case of Kadapa MP and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was arrested on May 24 last year and is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison.
Court dismisses Jagan's petition
The CBI court on Monday rejected the petition of Jagan Mohan Reddy to allow him to have his home food. He sought the permission for the same for his speedy recovery following his seven days fast for the cause of united State of Andhra Pradesh. However, the court directed the prison authorities to prepare the specified food referred by the doctors, if any for him.
