PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana seeks more time

December 15, 2013 - Hyderabad

PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana said on Sunday that he appeal to the President and would seek another 20 days' time to debate on the AP State Reorganization Bill 2013.

Speaking to media, he said that 'Telangana Congress leaders cannot object to the demand to discuss the Bill for 42 days and the Chief Minister and the Government can always seek more time. I am personally in favour of these proposals, said Botcha Satyanarayana. He pointed out that no whip would be issued to the Party MLAs. He said bifurcation was a sensitive and complex issue and everybody had the right to air his or her views. 'I hope our MLAs will not cause embarrassment to the party', he said.

Sees no wrong

Botch Satyanarayana said that he saw nothing wrong in the demand by Seemandhra MLA for a resolution in support of united Andhra Pradesh.

Takes exception on TDP move

The PCC president took exception of the TDP chief moving closing to BJP and termed as opportunistic politics. He wanted to know what answer Chandrababu Naidu had after he had levelled serious allegations against Gujarat Chief Minister Modi at the height of the communal riots in the wake of the Godhra carnage. He said that joining of TDP hands with BJP would pose a danger to communal harmony, he noted.
