December 14, 2013 - Hyderabad

Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendera Modi were closeted for an hour on Saturday.

The meeting of these two leaders took place after the swearing in ceremony of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan. It is said that Narendra Modi had reiterated what the BJP chief Rajnath Singh had said on Friday that the party remains firmly committed to the creation of Telangana was equally determined to safeguarding the concerns of the people of Seemandhra.

Blossoming relations

It is what may be termed as a blossoming relations between the TDP and the BJP, it appeared that Chandrababu Naidu had rubbed up relations with the top leaders of the BJP including LK Advani, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Narendera Modi who attended the oath-taking function. The TDP chief received invitations to attend the swearing-in ceremonies of all the three BJP Chief Ministers – Vijaya Raje Scindia of Rajasthan, Shivaraj Singh Chouhan of MP and Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh but he could make only to Bhopal as his presence is require in the State in view of the changed political scenario.

Second meeting in the recent

The meeting of Chandrababu Naidu with Narendra Modi is second in the recent past and is significant as he had publicly expressed displeasure over the way in which the Congress was messing up the AP division issue giving rise to hostilities between the people of these two regions. This was in contrast to the way BJP lead NDA Government that carved out Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.
