BJP leader announces resignation over Sushma’s statement

BJP Cheneta cell State President KS Chakradhari announced his resignation to the membership of the party on Tuesday saying that he was deeply agitated over the statement of senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj regarding Telangana during her recent visit to Mahabubnagar district. He said that Sushma Swaraj caused more heartburn by stating the BJP would support the Bill for formation of Telangana with Hyderabad as Capital if the Congress introduces it in the winter session of the Parliament at a time when the whole Seemandhra was suffering due to bandhs and strikes. He recalled that it was totally uncalled for on the part of the senior leaders and they should not forget that even national leaders LK Advani, Venkaiah Naidu and Modi made cautious statements with regard to protection of interests of the people of Seemandhra region. He sent his resignation to BJP national president Rajnath Singh, State president Kishan Reddy and Nellore district president P Surender Reddy.
