'AP Reorganization bill-2013 would render injustice to both the regions', says TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu
December 16, 2013 - Hyderabad
TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that the AP Reorganization Bill 2013 (Telangana Bill) is defective in many aspects and would render injustice to both the Telangana and Seemandhra regions.
Speaking to media on Monday, he faulted the manner in which the draft was introduced in the Assembly and held the Speaker responsible for not convening the Business Advisory Committee (BAC). On the incidents that took place on this eve, he expressed his anguish and said that the Congress party is solely responsible for this, he said. He said that the Centre has misused the Article 3 of the Constitution and added that no State was created without a resolution in the Assembly.
On common capital
Speaking to press, he said that there was no provision in the Constitution for a common capital, while talking about common capital, there was no mention of the other capital. Similarly, there were no details on how the law an order would be vested with the Governor and these require constitutional amendments, he said.
No method was followed
Chandrababu Naidu said that in the instant division of the State, the Centre has not followed any method and the manner in which it is being done shows that for only political gain.
