12 MPs from the State were suspended for five sittings

The Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Friday suspended 12 sitting MPs from the State who are agitating against bifurcation of the State for paralyzing the House since the beginning of the current session.
The suspended members are 8 from Congress and 4 from TDP and the action of the Speaker comes under the Rule 374(A) of the Rules of Procedure of the Lok Sabha. The members, who were named, are A Sai Prathap, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy, L Raja Gopal, Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, V Aruna Kumar, G V Harsha Kumar, Bapi Raju Kanumuru, Sabbam Hari (all Cong), Modugula Venugopala Reddy, Niramalli Sivaprasad, Nimalla Kristappa and Konakalla Narayana Rao (all TDP). Of them, the names of Bapi Raju Kanumuru and Sabbam Hari - both from Congress - were not included in yesterday's motion.
