Vastunna Mee Kosam - Chandrababu Naidu's Padayatra

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu started day 3 of his 'Vastunna Mee Kosam' padayatra from Somandepalli village in Anantapur district. On the third day of his 117-day padayatra, Chandrababu Naidu walked from Somandepalli to Turakalapatnam villages. He has interacted with several villages on his way and found out about their problems personally. Continuing the criticism on the government, Chandrababu Naidu said that the State has been made a disaster by the Congress government in the last nine years. Reiterating that the Telugu Desam Party is committed to the welfare of the people, Chandrababu Naidu said lauded the TDP founder NT Rama Rao for his services to the welfare of the poor.

He started his padayatra on the third day at 11:00 am. He interacted with villagers of Venkatapuram at 12:20 pm and addressed a public meeting at 2:00 pm in Penukonda. Chandrababu Naidu offered prayers at a darga in Penukonda at 2:40 pm and addressed another public meeting at 3:00 pm near Ambedkar junction. He had lunch at 5:20 pm and concluded the day at 9:15 pm.

Chandrababu Naidu called on the backward communities to inculcate leadership qualities. The TDP would give a major role to people from backward communities in local bodies when it comes to power, he said. While, the TDP developed the backward communities with a budget of Rs. 30,000 crore, Congress on the other hand, reversed the progress with a budget of Rs. 65,000 crore, he added.

Even at the age of 63 years, Chandrababu Naidu surprised everyone by walking at a rapid pace during the padayatra. Despite blisters to his legs, Chandrababu Naidu didn't hold back and continued his padayatra. On the third day, Chandrababu Naidu had Ugani and Upma for breakfast. For lunch, he ate rice, dal, sambar and had butter milk. Food has been prepared to about 500 party workers who have accompanied Chandrababu Naidu on the third day.

Nara Lokesh and Bhuvaneswari, who are with Chandrababu Naidu on the first two days of padayatra returned to Hyderabad on the third day.
