Telugu Desam questions Congress' claims of good governance

May 8, 2012 - Guntur

Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu questioned Congress on their claims of providing good governance. Addressing party workers in Macherla of Guntur district, Chandrababu ridiculed that Congress has people like N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Botcha Satyanarayana at the helm of their affairs. He said that the Chief Minister's brother is facing allegations of smuggling red sandalwood in Chittoor district, while Botcha is a liquor don and is not ashamed of the allegations.

Chandrababu said that the time has come for the people to teach the State and Central Governments a fitting lesson. He said that Congress and YSR Congress were trying to gain political mileage by making false allegations against the Telugu Desam. He charged Jagan Mohan Reddy for amassing wealth when his father YSR was the Chief Minister. He is now feigning ignorance to garner people' votes, Babu said.
