TDP chief examines letters submitted by two MPs on their absence in FDI vote

In the back drop of the episode of three Rajya Sabha members of the TDP staying away from voting on FDI, the Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that he was examining the letters expressing regret over the absence submitted by two of the MPs.

He said that the party has been opposing the FDI and the absence of the MPs during the voting in Rajya Sabha has upset him and said that one of the MPs had informed of his absence well in time. He said that he spoke to the rest of the two and they had expressed regrets and sought apology. He added that the TDP does not spare if they received any inducements but if they are not at fault, it is not fair to punish them, he said however, the letters are under his examination, he said.
