  • Governor ESL Narasimhan has met Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram today. The Governor has been meeting several ministers at the center in New Delhi since yesterday.
  • The arguments on the bail petition of BV Srinivasa Reddy, one of the accused in the Obulapuram illegal iron ore mining case was heard by the CBI court today. The court has posted further hearing on September 26.
  • Secondary and Intermediate Education minister Kolusu Partha Sarathi said that the Chief Minister will attend the 'Indiramma Baata' programme in Krishna district on 26th and 26th. The Chief Minister will kick off the programme in Vijayawada from Gannavaram mandal.
  • Heavy downpour caused severe traffic disruption in Hyderabad in the evening. LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Khairatabad, Ameerpet, Kukatpally and other areas in the city witnessed heavy rainfall in the evening. Traffic jams are witnessed at several junctions.
  • The first year examination results of the NTR Health University in Vijayawada are declared today. The exams were held in June and July. The students who didn't clear all the papers can attempt the exam against on November 16.
  • Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Principal Advisor E Sreedharan blamed the political interference for the delay in the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. He warned that the expenditure on the project will increase much more by the time the project gets completed. He spoke at a function in the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad today.
